Sappo Students Participate in Art Show at LIM

This annual student art exhibition affords an opportunity for students in grades Kindergarten through 12 to show their artwork in a museum setting.  Hundreds of proud parents and teachers flock to the museum every year to admire the work of these talented Long Island students, many of whom go on to study art in college.  We’re excited to announce the participation of 179 schools in this year’s exhibition, many of which are new to the Long Island Museum. Please join us in celebrating all the artists this spring.  Colors of Long Island is sponsored by Astoria Bank.

IMG_4413Reception was held March 5 and work will be on display through March.  The museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Sunday from noon to 5.
